About us

We provide an interpreting and translation brokerage service, matching work requests to our freelance linguists (interpreters and translators).

We supply linguists for:

• All our City Council departments
• Other Local Authorities
• Public Sector organisations, such as NHS Plymouth
• Registered charities

Why we are here

As a Council, we want to provide the best service possible to all our residents whatever their communication needs. Having an interpreting and translation service helps us to do this.

Did you know that over 50 first languages are spoken in Plymouth? All service providers keen to promote community cohesion need to be able to meet the diverse demands of their customers.

Our services

We have the following services available:

• Interpreters for face to face appointments
• Written translations of leaflets, reports, minutes of meetings
• Telephone interpreting (currently only available to Plymouth City Council departments)

Any organisation can use our service, just complete our online request form and we will get back to you. We are not a 24 hour or emergency service, we ask for 48 working hours notice to complete your requests. Please note that waiting times may be longer during public holidays.
