Plymouth Adoption Team
Plymouth City Council Adoption Team is a registered adoption agency committed to finding forever families in Devon and Cornwall for the children in our care. We also provide support for people whose lives have already been touched by adoption.
If you are interested in adopting a child into your family then please visit our Adopt for Plymouth pages.
Alternatively, you can visit the new National Gateway for Adoption which is an independent service in England.
The aim of the Gateway is to provide a transparent and informative first point of contact for anyone interested in adoption.
Called First4Adoption, it will provide a helpline and website to give prospective adopters expert, clear and objective information about what's involved, what to expect and how to start the adoption process. Helpline telephone number 0300 222 0022 (Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm).
If you think you wouldn't be eligible to adopt then why not take our popular Could I Adopt for Plymouth? quiz - you might be surprised at the results!
If you were adopted as a child, please visit our section for adopted adults. If you are considering placing your child for adoption or your child is being or was adopted in the past, then please visit our pages for birth relatives.
