Children's centres
The Government intends that the provision of good quality integrated services should have a broad and lasting impact on children, their parents and the wider community. Children's centres will contribute towards the Government's commitment to:
- the best start in life for every child
- better opportunities for parents
- affordable, good quality childcare
- stronger and safer communities.
Children's centres can offer you a range of activities such as:
- Childcare
- Play time
- Drop-ins
- Health support
- Training
- Employment support
Centres also work directly with families.
There are currently sixteen operational children's centres in Plymouth, with a further one developing. For further information on each children's centre please see their individual pages.
Further information on children's centres can be found on the Government's Sure Start website.
