Building control
Building Control regulates the design and construction of buildings, making sure they meet the minimum standards set out in the Building Regulations.
Building regulations are designed to ensure:
- Health and safety of people in and around buildings
- Energy conservation
- Access for all
We can help you if you have any building regulation problems and can co-ordinate your application with other local authority services, such as planning, highways, environmental health as well as fire safety.
We can also:
- Provide pre-application advice (free for the first hour) on all building projects
- Provide a choice of applications:

- Issue stage or conditional approvals to allow works on-site to progress as quickly as possible
- Issue Completion and Fire Safety Completion certificates
