Consultation undertaken

Ongoing Community Liaison Group meetings

Ongoing Transport Community Liaison Group meetings are held regularly with ward Councillors and community representatives for Plymstock and Elburton and also the East End (Prince Rock, Cattedown, St Judes and Coxside).

The purpose of these meetings is to provide up to date information on the detail of emerging transport proposals, to gain their initial thoughts and to gather information about any community concerns or problems regarding the transport network.

The minutes of these meetings can be viewed by selecting either the East End or Plymstock Transport Community Liaison group option to the left of this page. The community's issues are recorded by an issues register which is updated after each meeting and can be viewed below:

Deep Lane consultation November 2009

Deep Lane consultation was carried out during November and December 2009. The aim of the consultation was to invite the public to give us some feedback on four potential options for improvements to Deep Lane junction.

For more information please visit the Deep Lane consultation page.

Phase 1 consultation 2008

Phase 1 consultation was carried out during July and August 2008. We asked the public to give us some feedback on the options that have been developed so far. We received over 4,300 responses to the questionnaires and over 400 people attended exhibitions held around the city. We will use these comments to progress the scheme to the next stage and help us to identify some preferred options.

For more information please visit the phase 1 public consultation page.

15 January 2008

Plymouth City Council invited local public transport operators to attend an Eastern Corridor workshop/meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to explain to the operators the background of the Eastern Corridor scheme and to get some feedback from them with regard to the option ideas.

It is essential to involve the bus operators in discussions at this early stage to ensure the success of the scheme. It was felt that the most appropriate time for this involvement was whilst options were still being identified and investigated in order to ensure that the operators could actively participate in this process.

The following public transport operators contributed and a summary of their comments will be made available in the near future:

  • First Group
  • Plymouth Citybus
  • Target Travel
  • Stagecoach
  • Taxifast (Taxibus)

30 October 2007

A consultation workshop to help with the identification of options was held with ward Councillors and local business and resident representatives of the East End community. The presentation and workshop comments can be viewed in the documents table below.
