Equality Impact Assessment of Local Transport Plan 2011 to 2026
An Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) was carried out on the third Local Transport Plan. No changes have been made to the EIA as a result of the final document.
EIAs are a tool which ensures that our policies have made provision for everybody. They involve a systematic assessment of the probable impacts of our policies and procedures - specifically around the protected characteristics of:
- Age
- Disability
- Gender (female, male or transgender)
- Gender reassignment
- Marriage and civil partnership
- Pregnancy and maternity
- Race
- Religion or belief
- Sexual orientation
EIAs also consider the impact of our actions on:
- Human rights
- Community cohesion
- Our corporate priority to reduce inequalities - particularly health inequalities
