Equality impact assessments

Equality impact assessments look at a plan, a service or a planning decision to check what impact it could have on different people in the community.

Between April 2010 and March 2011 equality impact assessments have been carried out for:

• Derriford and Seaton Area Action Plan pre-submission stage (February 2011).
• The Planning Delivery Team (June 2010). This was produced to make sure the policies and actions of the team take equality and diversity fully into account when dealing with the Sustainable Growth Agenda and Corporate Policies.
• Building Control Service (April 2010). This was an update to assess its customer information on Building Control advice and disability issues.
