I'm interested in becoming a foster carer - What happens next?
Thank you for taking the time to learn about fostering with Plymouth City Council. If you would like to find out more about becoming a foster carer, please take the first step and contact us. There’s no obligation and we’re here to help, so please don’t hesitate to contact us even if you have only just started to think about fostering.
I’m interested in fostering, but don’t think the time is right
If, having read the information on this website, you are still interested in fostering but feel that the time is not yet right for whatever reason please put our details in a safe place and call us for a chat at any time in the future. We are always pleased to hear from people interested in fostering and treat all enquiries with respect.
Are there any alternatives to fostering?
If you feel you might be more suited to providing a permanent home to a child up to age ten, then please visit our adoption pages. Adoptive parents are needed in Plymouth just as much as foster carers.
