Hidden Harm - Working Together to Safeguard Children (HHS)
The Plymouth Safeguarding Children Board (PSCB) offers a range of up-to-date statutory training in areas of Best Practice concerning Safeguarding Children and Child Protection. All courses are inter-agency, offering participants the opportunity to meet practitioners and managers from a variety of agencies, to better understand the essential inter-agency nature of all child protection work in Plymouth.
Hidden Harm - Working Together to Safeguard Children (HHS) is a two-day course and is available for successful participants who have attended the one-day course Understanding Hidden Harm (HHA), unless line manager assesses the individual as being competent in this area.
This specialist course is for people working with adults or with children and young people where parental substance use/misuse is of concern and may impact on the lives of dependent children, offering more in-depth understanding of diagnosis and interventions.
It is advised that this course be undertaken within one year of completion of the Understanding Hidden Harm (HHA) training course.
The course details can be downloaded below:
Please see our safeguarding, learning and development page which provides the background information to the training we offer. The training course page gives full details of other courses available and the PSCB training calendar.
