Policy
Although the government have made certain requirements for licensing there are areas where councils need to make decisions.
The policy Licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) describes the standards for HMO licensing and the licence fees to be charged. It has been approved by the Cabinet Member for Planning, Strategic Housing and Economic Development and came into effect on 1 August 2011.
