November 2008 Local Housing Allowance rates
For broad rental market area Plymouth and surrounding areas, the table shows the rates for November 2008.

Please note:
- From April 2011 there is no longer a five bedroom Local Housing Allowance rate. For details about this and other changes to the scheme from April 2011 please visit the changes to Local Housing Allowance page.
- From April 2012 Local Housing Allowance rates will 'freeze'. This means that LHA rates will no longer be published each month. Instead any new claims, changes or your next LHA review will use the April 2012 rates.
- From April 2013 the Local Housing Allowance rates will be increased by the Consumer Price Index and all claims will be recalculated each April.
- If you do not have exclusive use of two or more rooms in the property, you will be entitled to the shared room rate.
- If you and/or your partner live in a self-contained one bedroom flat, you will be entitled to the one bedroom rate.
- If you are under 35, you may be restricted to the shared room rate.
- The rates shown are maximum amounts you could receive based on your household criteria. There may be reductions made to your award depending on your income and personal circumstances.
