Other legislation
Other statutory requirements may apply to the provision of any regulated activities at a premises and the responsibility for compliance lies with the licence holder /proprietor/or most appropriate person.
In reaching a decision on whether or not to grant a licence, the Licensing Authority, if relevant representations are made, may take account of any non-compliance with other statutory requirements brought to its attention, if these undermine the licensing objectives. This is because any non-compliance with other statutory requirements may demonstrate that the premises are unsuitable for the activities proposed, or that the management of the premises is not adequate to protect the public from harm or nuisance.
The grant of a licence does not imply the approval of other legislative requirements.
