Anti social behaviour (ASB)
Who we are
The Council's Anti-Social Behaviour Unit (ASBU) was set up in in response to a growing problem with anti-social behaviour in the City of Plymouth. We are a dedicated team committed to reducing anti-social behaviour and promoting safer communities in our city.
Our aim
The aim for Plymouth's ASBU is to find suitable solutions for tackling anti-social behaviour issues through a range of activities, to strive to engage with individuals to modify their behaviour within a multi-agency, problem solving context and to work in partnership with other agencies which include the police, housing associations, residents and tenants groups.
Tackling ASB
There are a number of actions and tools that we can use to combat ASB which include:
- Acceptable behaviour contracts (ABCs)
- Demoted tenancy orders
- Closure notices
- Stand alone anti social behaviour orders (ASBOs)
- Anti social behaviour injunctions (ASBIs)
Together we can tackle anti social behaviour in Plymouth.
