Council support

The town's BID pilot is being run by Plymouth's City Centre Company.

Plymouth City Council has fully supported the establishment of the Plymouth BID. As a result, the Plymouth BID provides exceptional value for money - uniquely - the Council's contribution covers all of the BID's management and administration costs. In 2010 to 2015 the Council's contribution includes:

• Planning development tariff (est total income to 2021) - £2,000,000
• Subscription and street trading surplus - £1,100,000
• Seconded City Centre Team - £500,000
• Clean Team - £500,000
• Car park improvements - £500,000
• Office, ICT and Business Administration costs - £250,000
• Christmas lights installation - £200,000
• Levy collection - £50,000

Total - £5,100,000
