Charitable public information event licence

There are two types of events held in the city centre:

  • charitable or fundraising (for which permits are required)
  • events of a commercial nature

There are four sites currently available for charitable events, within the city centre, located at:

  • Place De Brest
  • New George Street, adjacent to planter, opposite junction with Courtenay Street
  • New George Street, adjacent to planter outside W.H.Smiths
  • New George Street, central area, outside Waterstones

The permits for charitable events are free (see documents table below)

Commercial events

There are additional sites available for commercial events, together with the ones listed above. For more information on commercial events, please contact the City Centre Company. A fee is payable for a commercial event from the City Centre Company.
