Farmers market - second and fourth Saturdays of the month

With 25 stalls setting up every month selling a wide variety of local produce, the city centre farmers market is a lively and bustling market to visit. Situated by the sundial in the heart of the city centre shoppers can source produce which has been reared, grown or made by local farmers.

Visitors to the market can expect to find locally reared ostrich meat, pork, beef, lamb; locally grown strawberries and vegetables, plus locally produced cheeses, chutney, pies and pasties. The market is held in the city centre on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month and opens from 9am to 5pm.

The dates for the 2008 farmers market are:

• Saturday 8 and 22 March
• Saturday 12 and 26 April
• Saturday 10 and 24 May
• Saturday 14 and 28 June
• Saturday 12 and 26 July
• Saturday 9 and 23 August
• Saturday 13 and 27 September
• Saturday 11 and 25 October
• Saturday 8 and 22 November
