Plymouth Drug and Alcohol Action Team

Plymouth Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) is responsible for the delivery of the National Drug Strategy. The organisation covers the City of Plymouth and works with service providers and other key local and regional agencies by:

  • Commissioning services
  • Supporting partnerships
  • Providing information

Plymouth has a number of specialist drug services and a network of trained GP’s offering comprehensive advice and information, treatment, support rehabilitation and training.

Harbour Drug and Alcohol Services

Harbour Drug and Alcohol Services offers:

  • Comprehensive assessment
  • Advice and information
  • Safer injecting service
  • Vaccination and testing
  • Access to substitute prescribing
  • Access to inpatient services
  • Access to residential care
  • Care management
  • Drug intervention programme (a specific programme for prison leavers)
  • Drug rehabilitation requirements (a court ordered requirement for drug treatment)
  • Walk-in services
  • Services for young people

Broadreach Group

Broadreach House offers:

  • First and second stage residential rehabilitation
  • Structured day care (12 week programme)
  • Access to housing and support

If you have a loved one who is using drugs it can be a lonely, frightening and stressful time. Hamoaze House, Broadreach House and Ocean Quay all have active involvement with carers, relatives and friends of service users, and can offer support, information and advice.

Families Count Too

Families Count Too is a local carers’ organisation run by carers, linked to the DAAT that is available to all carers city-wide for advice, support, advocacy or just a friendly and understanding ear!

Plymouth User Forum

If you are a drug user receiving treatment or you want treatment Plymouth User Forum is a group run by service users for service users offering expert advice from a patients perspective as well as support, advocacy and a listening ear!
