Interments
The fees are for digging of the grave to a depth of 2,400mm where indicated but do not include the cost of removal of kerbs, railings and erection, which must be carried out in proper time by the owner. Failing such removal, the Council will do the work at the owners expense. None but wooden coffins must be used in all cases.
For the interment, in a grave, in respect of which an exclusive
- Of the body of a still-born child, or a child whose age at the time of death did not exceed five years - free
- Of the body of a child whose age at the time of death exceeded 5 years but did not exceed fifteen years - £191.50
- Of the body of a person whose age at the time of death exceeded fifteen years - £524.50
For the interment, in a grave in respect of which an exclusive right of burial has been granted.
- Of the body of a still-born child, or a child whose age at the time of death did not exceed five years - free
- Of the body of a child whose age at the time of death exceeded 5 years but did not exceed fifteen years - £287
- Of the body of a person whose age at the time of death exceeded fifteen years - £764
Note: In the case of new graves where coffins are in excess of 750mm (width) the charge will be one-and-a-half the normal interment fee and double the leasing fee.
Exclusive rights of burial in earthern graves
For the exclusive right of burial in an earthern grave 2,700mm by 1,200mm granted to:

- Other persons for 5 years - £1095.50

- Other persons for 100 years - £1224
- Other persons for 5 years - £764

For the renewal of an exclusive right of burial prior to 1 April 1951, the annual fee of £13.
Monuments, gravestones, tablets and monumental inscriptions
The right to erect or place on a grave for the period of the exclusive right of burial (this charge is for the right only and does not include the cost of providing or erecting monuments etc.)
- a memorial on a bearing stone, not exceeding 900mm in height and 900mm by 600mm - £83
- a memorial not on a bearing stone and not exceeding 300mm in height and 600mm by 450mm - £49.50
- a bronze plaque, 450mm by 225mm to be laid flat on grave - £49.50
- a vase, not exceeding 300mm in height by 225mm - £30.50
The fees indicated for the various heads of this part include the first inscription
For each inscription after the first a fee of £35.50
Miscellaneous charges

Note: The charges are for one grave space, more than one will be charged pro rata.
Cremation
Charges for cremation, book of remembrance, columbaria, colonnades, burial of ashes and miscellaneous matters at Efford and Weston Mill crematoria
A 10% discount on the cremation fee will be offered to Plymcard holders if the Plymcard is produced before the date of the funeral. This offer is available to the deceased, the deceased's next of kin acting as applicant for the cremation
For the cremation of:
- a still-born child or a child whose age at the time of death did not exceed 5 years - free*
- a child whose age at the time of death exceeded 5 years but did not exceeded 15 years - £248*
- a person whose age at the time of death exceeds 15 years - £390*
- outside parishioners - £436*
* Inclusive of scattering fee or supply of transit container and certificate for cremated remains
Note: the coffin is to be constructed in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Production Act 1992. Specification can be obtained from the Cemetery Officer.

For an inscription in the book of remembrance

Columbarium and colonnade at Efford and Weston Mill crematoria
Rows of niches designated by appropriate letters are shown on the plan of the columbarium sealed by the Council and deposited at the Chief Executive's office, Plymouth.
For the exclusive use of a niche in the columbarium for 25 years
- Rows C to E at Efford and A to J at Weston Mill - £702.50*
- Rows A, B, F to L at Efford and K to M at Weston Mill - £565*
The fees indicated under the various heads of this part include the deed of grant and all expenses thereof.
For the renewal of the above right for a further period of 25 years
- Rows C to E at Efford and A to J at Weston Mill - £228*
- Rows A, B, F to L at Efford and K to M at Weston Mill - £180.50*
For the closure of a niche at the expense of the lessee by a stone tablet on which may be placed an inscription on request - £35.50
- For the right to place a tablet in the colonnade including an inscription thereon for twenty five years renewable - £336*
- For the renewal of the tablet for a further period of twenty five years - £196*

Cemeteries and crematoria charges are subject to VAT as follows:
