Regulated hazardous sites

As a Category 1 Responder under the Civil Contingencies Act, emergency planning is at the heart of the civil protection duty. Emergency plans may take the form of a generic plan, which details the Council’s overarching response, or specific plans for dealing with particular hazards or sites.

In Plymouth, we have sites around the city that are governed by statutory regulations, requiring the Council to have specific off-site plans in place.
