Training and courses

Plymouth Parent Partnership Service offers various training opportunities and courses for professionals, staff in schools, other agencies parents and carers. Below you can find details of our forthcoming events.

Leaflets that explain more about all of these subjects are available for you to download free on our publications page.

For parents and carers
A parents’ introduction to special needs provision.

Come along to a free 2 hour workshop for parents/carers at Parent Partnership, Martin’s Gate, Bretonside. If you would like more information or to book a place please contact us on 01752 258933. We can be flexible about the dates and times as we put the sessions on to suit demand.

Transitional Annual Reviews (TAR)
For parents:

  • Does your child have special or additional needs and aged between 13 to 19 yrs old?
  • Is your child considering their choices when they reach 16 years?
  • Are you helping your child plan for their future?
  • Have you and your child received your invite to your child’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) Statement annual review for year 9?
  • Are you and your child concerned about the changes between Children’s and Adult services?

For professionals, staff in schools and other agencies:

  • Do you work with young people with special/additional needs 13 to 19 years?
  • Are you interested in taking part in a forum for TAR?
