Translate Plymouth forms
Translate Plymouth is our in-house translation and interpretation service. We arrange translation, interpretation, and other accessible communication formats (including British Sign Language (BSL), braille, speech to text and audio format.)
The service is available to all public services in the Plymouth area to help them to meet their customers' diverse language needs.
We recruit local linguists with the right level of skills and ability. Our recruitment processes mean that we are able to provide appropriately qualified and skilled linguists to meet service users’ language needs.
Translate Plymouth is not an emergency service. We need 48 hours' notice to arrange interpreting and the turnaround time for translated material is 2 weeks.
Enrolment form
Are you are multilingual and able to speak, read and write in English or do you have BSL or other accessible communication skills? If you are interested in working on a freelance or casual basis as an interpreter or translator why not join our Translate Plymouth service. If you are interested, please fill in our enrolment form.
Request form
We work with customers and partners both inside and outside the Council. We need 48 hours' notice to arrange interpreting and don't provide an emergency service. The turnaround time for translation material is about two weeks.

Feedback form
All our interpreters and translators work to our service protocol, which specifies quality standards, pricing policy and customer care expectations.
We monitor the performance of our interpreters and translators through customer feedback. Customers can provide us with feedback about an interpreter or translator’s performance, by filling in our feedback form.
