Plymouth citizens have a right to be involved in local decision-making. Decisions about the city and local issues are made which are open to the public. You can get involved in decision making by –

• attending meetings
• voting in elections

Meetings
You can keep informed by reading the agendas and minutes of all meetings of the Council or by attending those meetings in person.

Decisions
The decisions of the Cabinet and Cabinet Members are recorded. This identifies decisions taken, the reason for the decision, any alternatives considered and rejected, the consultation undertaken, and the implementation date for the decision.

Plans
The Council produces a Forward Plan that is published monthly and sets out the key decisions that will be made in the next four months.

The Overview and Scrutiny Commission produces a Work Programme that sets out the scrutiny reviews and work undertaken by the Scrutiny Commission and the six Overview and Scrutiny Panels.

Councillors
This section contains information on your local councillors including committee and other public appointments

Committee details
This section contains information on the Council’s decision-making and consultative bodies. Just select the name of the Committee to view its information.

Our Calendar shows upcoming meetings with links to agenda, reports and minutes for each meeting.
