Royal Parade underpass mural

In Summer 2004 the Royal Parade underpass was sealed in and a new pedestrian crossing created above it as part of the redevelopment of the city centre. The tiled underpass mural was left intact and photographed before both entrances were blocked up. The mural depicts key moments in the city's 600 year history.

The mural was designed by Edward Pond who was commissioned by Plymouth City Council to create both the underpass and entrance sections.
