Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park
Mount Edgcumbe House is the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. Set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres Country Park on the Rame Peninsula, South East Cornwall.
Whether you are searching for a venue for a family outing or group visit, enthused by the magnificent Grade I Cornish gardens and famous historic house, combining your visit with a cruise of the River Tamar, looking for a civil wedding venue or viewing the national collection of camellias you are invited to come and explore, enjoy, learn its history or even dream awhile.
Mount Edgcumbe House was first built in the 1500s and was restored after World War Two. It is jointly owned by Cornwall Council and Plymouth City Council and is one of the regions most popular historic tourist destinations.
The House and Earl's Garden (admission charged) re-opens for the season on Wednesday 1 April to Wednesday 30 September 2015 (closed to the public Thursday 17 September 2015). It is open Sunday to Thursday and bank holiday Mondays between 11am and 4.30pm (last admission at 4pm). Tickets for the House can be purchased from the gift shop inside the House during normal opening times. Group bookings can also be arranged in March and October.

The wider park is open year round, daily from 8am to dusk and is free to the public. The free area of the park includes the National Camellia Collection and the majority of the formal gardens.
The Stables cafe is now running its Autumn/Winter opening hours, 11am - 3pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday. This is until December 23rd 2014. Our delicious food is homemade and we source our ingredients locally. We welcome the whole family including the dog! Please phone the Stables on 01752 823823 for further information
In the formal gardens of the lower park you will also find the Orangery nestled in the Italian Garden. Open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm until Sunday 2 November then Saturday and Sunday only 10.30am to 4.30pm until Sunday 21 December serving delicious local seasonal food for brunch, lunch, Sunday roast, local coffee and homemade cakes. New - Disc Golf!
The first of its kind in Devon and Cornwall, Disc Golf is a 13 hole foxed basket Frisbee course utilising the closely mown sections of the park near the ice house and in front of the main house. With most holes having two starting positions the course is suitable for both family and advanced players. In addition to individual and family bookings we also welcome team building events, schools, stag and hen weekends. It's new and different - come and have a go!
