Awaken to the delights of the avian world here at Mount Edgcumbe. Join our expert guide to experience the amazing sounds of dawn birdsong within the gardens of the estate.
Meeting at Barrow car park at 4.30am, the walk will take approximately 2 and half hours and finish off with breakfast and cost £6 per person. Suitable walking shoes and clothing is a must, and don't forget the binoculars! Numbers are restricted so booking is essential.

St Lukes Tea @ 3

Mount Edgcumbe Park
Mount Edgcumbe Park is holding a cream tea in support of St Luke's Tea @ 3 campaign being held throughout May. The event on Sunday 18 May from 1pm to 5pm will see a large marquee on the lawn in Mount Edgcumbe Park, with cream teas and other refreshments available.
There will be live entertainment by various artists including singer/songwriter Jill Cole, opera singer Matt Straw and Tamar Concert Choir. Entertainment will also include various stalls, children's entertainment, bouncy castle, chocolate fountain and a raffle with first prize being a horse-drawn carriage ride round Mount Edgcumbe.
Entry is free to the park. Tickets for the cream tea are £5 each (in advance or available on the day). Reduced entry into the house on the day when a cream tea has been purchased.

Going Bats at Mount Edgcumbe

Join us for a nocturnal adventure and let our colonies of bats be your guide. With rare species calling Mount Edgcumbe home you could be in for a real treat with this expedition.
Meeting on the terrace to the front of the house at 8pm, the walk will take approximately 2 to 3 hours and finish off with hot soup at a cost of £4 per person. Please make sure that you wrap up warm and wear suitable footwear for the walk. Due to limited spaces, booking is essential.

Mount Edgcumbe Park
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with local artist Louise Courtnell to capture some of Cornwall’s most beautiful landscape in oils. Louise will work with you throughout the day giving advice, tips on your use of materials and hints on the painting techniques that have made her such a popular artist.
Meeting at Barn Pool Picnic area at 9.45am for a 10am start the course will run until 4pm. You should bring a canvas or board, easel, oil paints, brushes, white spirit, rags etc for your class. A light picnic lunch will be provided during the day. Places are strictly limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Walk on the Wild Side

Take a guided walk around Mount Edgcumbe and see the delights on offer here. Our knowledgeable guide will introduce you to the flora a fauna of the landscape, a little of the history of the surroundings you will be walking through as well as pointing out the abundance of wildlife that lives here.
Meeting at Maker car park at 10.30am you will make your way to the Barn Pool area of the park for a picnic lunch before working you way back through the east to the starting point. The excursion will take approximately 3 hours and cost £6 per person, spaces are limited so please book early.

Mad about Moths

Over 2000 kinds of moth inhabit the British Isles, most of which you’ll only seen if you go trapping at night. Come and join our experts at this night time event and see what moths they can trap and identify, you never know we may find some rarities!
Meet at the park gates at Cremyll at 7.45pm, the event should last around 3 hours, tea and biscuits will be provided. Suitable shoes should be worn and bring some warm clothing it can get chilly during the night. The cost is £3 per person, but spaces are limited so booking is essential.

Deer Walk in the Park
