Museum Friends

Our Friends Association was established in 1951 with HRH Prince Philip as Patron. It raises funds for acquisitions, supports activities and arranges special events for members.

Membership benefits

Being a member of the Friends of Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery entitles you to:

• advance notice of exhibitions and events
• invitations to private viewings
• specially organised evening lectures and gallery tours
• discounted tickets to our International Concert Series
• free entry to Buckland Abbey (with proof of friends membership)
• free entry to Mount Edgcumbe (with proof of friends membership, not applicable to National Trust members)
• a chance to support the valuable work of the Museum and Art Gallery

Membership fees

We welcome new members and the annual subscription is very modest so why not join us? Our current rates are:

• £5 for students (in full time education)
• £8 for single membership
• £12 for double membership
• £15 for family membership (up to 2 adults and 2 children under 18)
• £50 for corporate membership
• £60 for life individual membership
