Richard William Barstow (1947 to 1982)

Dick Barstow started work in the Cornish mining industry. He worked in the sampling office of South Crofty Mine, and Geevor Mine.
He began his mineral collecting and dealing business in January 1973 from his home near Botallack, Cornwall, later moving to Gunnislake in 1978. He visited many classic and recent localities, often along with his contemporaries. Dick managed to consistently collect good specimens. He also traded in and collected worldwide minerals.
Some of his collecting equipment is owned by Tavistock Museum, Devon and can be seen on display.
Return to the Barstow mineral collection page for information on the collection.
