2009 is the bicentenary of Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of 'On the Origin of Species'.
Your local library will have displays and exhibitions celebrating Darwin 2009 throughout January, February and March.
Lost World Read
To celebrate Darwin 2009 and the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, join in with readers across the country as they read the Doyle classic The Lost World. Free copies will be available throughout the city from the end of January.
