Journey to Eden Events
A series of three Indigo-inspired adventures for adults, in partnership with The Eden Project!
Attendees came in and looked around the 'Indigo: A Blue To Dye For' exhibition before travelling to St Austell for a fascinating 'Fibre and Dye Journey' through the Outdoor Biome with a member of the Eden Pollinators Team.
The tour covered the Cornish landscape, myth and folklore, fibre and woad areas of the Outdoor Biome, with plenty of information about where attendees could find natural dyes in their own gardens and from some of the food they eat!
The events culminated with a special no-pot dyeing activity where attendees had the chance to create a simple print of their own using Japanese indigo leaves.
Many thanks to the Eden Project for their assistance in running these events throughout August 2007.
