'Nature Collected' is a touring exhibition produced by Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery in partnership with Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, and is supported by Renaissance in the Regions.

Collecting nature is as old as curiosity itself and this quirky exhibition enables visitors to find out about some of the motivations and characters behind 'nature collected' in the museum stores of the South West.

Objects and stories have been pulled together from museums across the region including Plymouth, Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, Taunton, Weston-super-Mare, Exeter, Torquay and Truro.

With them visitors can explore:

• the history of natural history
• the consequences of collecting, both good and bad
• how collections have been amassed and used in the past
• how collections are still revealing their secrets today
