Ground floor refurbishment image gallery
Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery successfully secured a £756,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a major refurbishment in 2008. This, combined with match funding from Renaissance in the Regions and the Department for Culture Media and Sport's Wolfson Foundation Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund, enabled us to revamp the majority of our ground floor galleries, as well as our foyer and shop area and display more than 2,000 objects - many of which had never been on show before.
