Term dates
School term and holiday dates are set by the Local Authority (LA) for community and voluntary controlled (VC) schools and maintained nursery schools. Governing bodies set the term dates for foundation and voluntary aided schools. Please see our schools directory page for information on individual school category.
School session times 2009 to 2010
School governing bodies set occasional and professional development days for their schools, known as non-pupil days. The governing bodies of individual schools will allocate 10 non-pupil days from within these dates. The information published has been provided to the LA by schools in July 2009. Therefore the LA cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information should a school amend their dates. Parents or carers are advised to contact the school direct when using this information to make holiday or transport arrangements. Where 10 days have not been listed then the remaining days are still to be confirmed by the school. You can download details of the non-pupil days for 2009 to 2010 from the documents table below.
