Our aims

Plymouth City Council’s local land charges section will:

• endeavour to ensure that local search certificates are completed efficiently and accurately within a turn around time of five working days
• respond to requests for copy agreements within four working days
• endeavour to respond to all correspondence within eight working days
• make available through the local law society and other bodies all increases in fees. With the exclusion of exceptional circumstances, the change of fees will take place on an annual basis: 1 April only
• make available the guidelines for the procedures of personal searches
• actively strive to improve the quality of our service in accordance with our ISO 9001-2000
