Pre-submission

The City Centre and University Area Action Plan is at pre-submission stage. The draft plan has been published, and is available for you to comment on for six weeks from 18 August to 29 September 2009.

There are a range of events taking place where you can meet Planning Officers and discuss the plan. A leaflet is also available to download from the documents table below which highlights some of the main changes that have been made to the plan since the last consultation in November 2008.

Making your comments

You can view and comment on the Area Action Plan through the online consultation portal or download a copy from the documents table below. You can also email your comments, or write to us. A comments form is available for you to download from the documents table below.

You may also like to comment on the Sustainability Appraisal which is available to comment on through our online consultation portal or you can download a copy from the documents table.

You may also like to look at the relevant evidence base documents and the Regulation 27 statement which shows what consultation has taken place so far.

What happens next?

All the comments made will be published for you to view and will be considered by Planning Services. The plan will then be submitted to an independent planning inspector to consider. We expect there will be an independent public examination in spring 2010 to consider the issues. If the inspector approves the plan it will be adopted in summer 2010.
