Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report 2007

This document is a draft Scoping Report for the Sustainability Appraisal of Plymouth’s future Local Development Framework (LDF) documents. It aims to:

• Identify existing sustainability issues in Plymouth
• Summarise existing sustainability objectives from other relevant plans & programmes which need to be considered throughout the plan-making process
• Formulate a framework by which to test the LDF documents for sustainability as they proceed through the different stages of the plan making process.

This Scoping Report will cover the following documents:

• Derriford and Seaton Area Action Plan
• City Centre Area Action Plan
• East End Area Action Plan
• The Hoe Area Action Plan
• Sustainable Neighbourhoods (Key Site Allocations) Development Plan Document.
• Development Guidelines Supplementary Planning Document
• Shopping Centres Supplementary Planning Document
• Coastal Planning Supplementary Planning Document

You can make comments about the draft Scoping Report between 29 August and 10 October 2007. All comments will be considered by the Council and used in formulating the final document.
