The 1998 BAR consisted of 273 entries. The 2005 survey shows 181 buildings/structures have been removed because their future has been secured.

The remaining 169 buildings/structures on the 1998 BAR were considered to be of townscape merit 77 of these have also been removed from the register.

23 buildings (13%) removed from the register were repaired with grant aid.

Six buildings/structures on the 1998 BAR have since been demolished.

In 1998, 12 Plymouth City Council properties were included on the BAR representing 4% of the total register. Two have now been removed, one of which is Tinside Pool.

Many buildings at risk are vacant. 19% of the buildings/structures removed from the 1998 BAR were vacant but have now been saved through re-use.

47% of buildings at risk in 1998 were deemed to be 'vulnerable', (risk level 4). However, 50% of the buildings/structures, which were in the poorest condition, (risk level 1), have now been removed.

51% of the 1998 BAR was made up of residential/domestic accommodation. Many of the entries were deemed to be 'vulnerable' and therefore capable of being repaired or returned to use. 70% of these dwellings have now been removed from the register.

The survey area was limited, and as such the inclusion of 13 public houses on the BAR is a high figure for this building type. On the 2005 register, 8 have been removed.
