Garden waste collection
The garden waste collection scheme collects garden waste fortnightly. The collection is in reusable plastic bags and two are provided to each household in eligible areas on request. The garden waste is sent to be composted.
- This year's scheme has been extended to 30 November 2011
- Collections will take place on the same day and week as the doorstep recycling collections. To find out your collection day please contact us or visit our find my collection day page.
- Garden waste can only be put out for collection in the bags supplied
- All bags must be placed out for collection at the front boundary of your property by 6.30am on your collection day
- Eligible households are allocated two reusable bags for their garden waste
- The scheme is restricted to two bags per household per collection
- To request replacement bags please contact us

The garden waste collection scheme is currently only available to residents in certain areas. Please contact us to find out if you live in an eligible area. Collections take place on the same days as kerbside recycling collections. The garden waste ban
- Garden waste is banned from brown bins and black rubbish bags in areas eligible to take part in the garden waste collection scheme
- The ban is only in operation for the months the scheme is running
