    Recycle World

    Recycle World in Plymouth (also known as Lamp Recycling Services) run a number of recycling and reuse services across the city, both for businesses and householders.

    PCs

    PCs that meet the following will be accepted from businesses and householders:

    • Pentium 3 with a processing speed of 800 MHz-1g
    • 17" plus working monitors

    Printers are also accepted.

    Recycle World then sell equipment at low cost, and prioritise supplying the unemployed, disabled, disadvantaged, charities and voluntary organisations.

    Lamps

    Businesses can subscribe to the following lamp recycling services:

    • 50 pence charge per fluorescent tube
    • 65 pence per non linear
    • £2 for a container to store lamps in for collection

    Office equipment

    The following items, working and in reasonable condition, will be accepted from businesses:

    • Telephones
    • Faxes
    • Answering machines
    • Dictaphones
    • Photocopiers
    • and other similar items

    Mobile phones

    Any type of working mobile phone (preferably with a charger) will be accepted from businesses and householders. These will either be reused back in the community or donated to charity.

    Office furniture

    The following items, in reasonable and safe condition, will be accepted from businesses:

    • Chairs
    • Desks
    • Filing cabinets

    Only small quantities can be taken, due to space constraints.

    Used postage stamps

    Used postage stamps will be accepted from businesses and householders and sent to a variety of charities.

    Musical instruments

    All fully functioning instruments and recording equipment will be accepted from businesses and householders. These will be reused to develop a youth band and help youngsters unable to afford equipment.

    Householders can take any of the items above directly to the organisation on any Friday (donation day). For businesses, a free of charge collection service is offered. For smaller items such as lamps, mobile phones and stamps etc, collection is once a month and when the collection container is full. Contact Recycle World for more information.
