Charity shops, reuse and refurbishment organisations
Please consider donating your unwanted items to a charity or refurbishment organisation of your choice.
There are a wide range of charities in Plymouth who operate shops. Most will accept small household items, clothes and books. Some charities will also accept large items of furniture and electrical goods (subject to conditions).
There are a few organisations locally that will take items that need to be refurbished. They will repair the donated item for reuse at an affordable price and in some cases will offer a guarantee.
Remember that most small charity shops are always in need of old carrier bags, so take them along to be re-used.
Check the local telephone directory, Yellow Pages or Thomson Local for a list of charity shops or refurbishment organisations in the city which take items for re-use or refurbishment. You can also find information on the Plymouth Online Directory.
