Help with online forms

Our online forms have been developed as a simple and secure method of contacting the Council.

Online forms

Our online forms are powered by a technology called Java. Java enables applications run on a variation of computers.

What is Java?

Java is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems that creates code for online applications. These Java applications can work on any type of computer - AppleMac, PC, etc

How do I install Java?

Download Java from Sun Microsystems Java website.

Do I have Java installed on my computer?

You check to see if you have Java installed on your computer. Verify installation from Sun Microsystems Java website.

The Java website cannot verify if I have Java installed.

If the website cannot verify whether you have Java installed, or you cannot access the online form, then it likely that you do not have Java installed or you may have a very older version. Please install Java onto your computer.

I don't have Java installed on my computer.

Is Java safe?

Yes.

I do have Java installed.

If you can use our online forms then you will have Java installed. However like any software there are regular updates and upgrades. Therefore it maybe worth checking to see if you have the most up to date version of Java. Verify installation from Sun Microsystems Java website.

Using online forms with AOL

If you are an AOL customer, you may experience problems when using our online forms with the AOL website browser.  If you do, please minimise the AOL browser and view the page using Internet Explorer or Firefox.

I'm still having problem with my form who should I contact?

Depending on your problem depends on who you will need to contact. If the problem is technical and you can not resolve the problem from the answers above then please contact the Web Team (details in the contact box).
