How to pay

Payment of housing rents, home contents insurance and housing benefit overpayment accounts can be made:

• at any Housing Office
• at the Civic Centre
• at any Post Office
• at any PayPoint outlet
• via the online payments page
• by telephone, 01752 262243 (24 hours per day)
• by post
• direct debit

Methods of payment accepted

• cash, cheque, debit or credit card at housing offices
• cash, cheque, debit or credit card at the Civic Centre
• cash, cheque or debit card at any Post Office
• cash at any PayPoint outlet
• debit or credit card via our online payments page
• debit or credit card by telephone on 01752 262243
• cheque payable to Plymouth City Council and sent to Plymouth City Council, Civic Centre, Royal Parade, Plymouth, PL1 2EW
• direct debit

Payment by direct debit

You can now pay your housing rent by direct debit, which will be collected on the first day of each month.

Please complete and return the direct debit mandate form, which can be downloaded below, if you wish to use this method of payment. You will receive a notification confirming the amounts to be taken by direct debit.
