Sheltered housing service

The service that you can expect from us is set out in our service level agreement.

When a suitable property is identified for a tenant a sheltered housing officer will contact you to arrange a viewing at which time they will also explain the sheltered housing service.

Once you move in, the sheltered housing officer will sit with you and design an individual support plan. Tenants will also be given an introduction to sheltered housing, giving them more information about the particular scheme.

When tenants move in

The sheltered housing officer will welcome the tenant, show them around the communal areas, explain the 'alarm call system' and other facilities, and also tell them about the local services and social activities.

On becoming a tenant

The sheltered housing officer will visit each tenant regularly to find out if they need anything and make sure further help is provided if it is needed.

The sheltered housing officer will discuss with them a service level agreement and complete a support plan.
