Archive researchers (record agents)

Plymouth and West Devon Record Office cannot undertake research on behalf of enquirers.

We will confirm, on request, the availability of records held here. Brief checks of our place-name, personal name and subject indexes will be undertaken, though we cannot guarantee to do this immediately for telephone enquirers.

If it is impossible to visit the Record Office you may wish to pay an agent to make searches on your behalf. The following people undertake research at Plymouth and West Devon Record Office and visit the Record Office on a regular basis. It does not constitute a recommendation, and all arrangements are private agreements between the parties concerned.

Plymouth City Council can accept no responsibility for the quality of the work, nor for the fees charged.
