Our copying charges have changed

Photography

From 1 April 2008 anyone wishing to take images of material in the searchroom will be required to pay the following charge(s):

  • Daily rate: £2.50
  • Weekly: £7.50
  • Yearly: £60

The charge will entitle the individual to take as many images (within the terms of copyright regulations) over the course of the day, week, or year, as appropriate.

The charges are being imposed in order to help pay for some of the preservation overheads incurred in caring for the collections and are in line with charges made by many other record offices across the UK.

Copying charges

We are also increasing the self-service and other copying charges from 1 April. This reflects the cost of maintaining our copying equipment and the increased cost of office supplies:

  • A4 copies will cost 40 pence per sheet
  • A3 copies will cost 60 pence per sheet

Full details of all of our charges can be found on our photocopying page.
