Plymouth Writers Group

Levinsky Building, Plymouth University
First Saturday of the month 11am to 1.30pm

We have a range of writers from novices through to published authors and various national competition winners. We engage in Fiction and Poetry, with some of our members also having skills in Playwriting. We have published 2 anthologies, and our third is due out on 1 October 2016.

Portal Writers

Southway Community Centre
Tuesdays between 10am and midday (except for school holidays)

Members pay £1.50 per visit which goes toward the upkeep of the centre.

The group is a friendly and encouraging environment for both new and existing writers and welcomes new members.

The Waterfront Writers

The Swarthmore Centre, Mutley Plain
Fridays between 1pm and 3pm
Cost is £2.50 each visit

We are a mixed group of people whose backgrounds are as varied as our ages. During our meetings we listen to whatever work members feel ready to share, whether it be a poem, a story or something inbetween, and give feedback. We are an all inclusive group, so whatever hand life has dealt you, if you enjoy writing you will find a welcome in The Waterfront Writers.
