The 24 Hour Museum is the UK's national virtual museum, a database of over 3,000 museums, galleries and heritage collections searchable by place, date or subject. The site also features daily updated news and interesting themed and illustrated trails.
Artcyclopedia
Artcyclopedia, "the guide to great art on the Internet", is a comprehensive index of every artist represented at hundreds of museum sites, with images and links to other online resources. Artcyclopedia offers more than 60,000 links to an estimated 150,000 works by 8,000+ renowned artists, and links only to sites where an artist's work can be viewed online.

Huge website with pages related to individual BBC TV and radio programmes, themed sections, such as News, Sport, Entertainment, Lifestyle, History, Health and Science, and children's CBBC and CBeeBies areas. The BBC's website contains many interactive features including fun and games, message boards and programme streaming.
Comparative Religion
Huge and very comprehensive resource covering the world's major religions and belief systems, alternative spiritual beliefs and ancient mythologies, includes information and descriptions about each, and all the complete major books and other texts that underpin each philosophy and belief.
IMDb
Started in 1990 by a group of movie fans and now owned by Amazon.com, the Internet Movie Database has grown into a massive and easily searchable catalogue of over 300,000 films and over one million cast and crew members.
Screenonline
Developed by the British Film Institute, Screenonline tells the history of British film and television, and the social history of Britain as shown on film and television. The website includes hundreds of hours of video clips from the vast collections of the BFI National Film and Television Archive, together with thousands of stills, posters and press books and several hours of recorded interviews with film and television personalities.
