Email privacy on library computers

When you read your emails on a library computer, you are working on a computer shared with other people. Many people using library computers forget this and do not sign off from their email services.

Unless you sign off from your email service correctly, there is a very good chance that the person using the computer after you will be able to read your emails.

You can log on to many services in a special way to show that you are using a public computer. Always do this if it is available.

When you have finished, always make sure you click on the link to 'sign off'. Sometimes it is called 'sign off', sometimes 'sign out', 'log off' or 'log out'.
