Services for the visually impaired
- All libraries have a collection of spoken word tapes and books in large print, you can find these by searching the library catalogue. or ask to see 'Telling Tales' a printed catalogue of all titles held.
- Books on CD are available in the Central Library.
- All libraries have a small hand held magnifier for use in the library.
- Library material (subject to copyright restrictions) can be brailled for members who have a visual impairment.
- We work closely with support groups and agencies within the city.
- A reading group for visually impaired readers meets on the 2nd Monday of the month between 11am and 12 noon. Meet at 10.45am in the foyer of the Central Library. Book collections include large print and audio formats.
