CD: Barbican Archive
Voices of local residents bring to life Plymouth's Barbican between 1920 and 1950.
The Barbican Archive project began during the early 1990s when community worker Kay Isbell was tasked by the Virginia House Settlement to collect oral history recordings and family photographs from local residents. The CDs have been compiled from those original recordings and edited by Belinda Dixon Media Limited for Plymouth Libraries.
You can now listen to selected tracks from the CD online.
