Book of the month

All of the staff at our centre are keen readers. That's why we've created the book of the month area to highlight books we have particularly enjoyed. All of the featured books are available through our bookshop, or can be requested through your exchange.

The Graveyard book by Neil Gaiman

The cover belies the dark content of this book. The author takes you straight into the action from the very start and makes you want to discover the mystery which lies behind the terrible events of the first chapter. Sometimes sad, often gothic yet also humorous in parts, I was gripped from the beginning and although the plot seems improbable the excellent standard of writing ensured that I believed in it wholeheartedly. The illustrations by Chris Riddell are wonderful and captivate fully the dark nature of the book.
